It was my first experience zip lining but it was the most fun-filled activity I did in Whistler. Whistler village gondola took us to our starting point from where it was a mix of hiking as well as ziplining. The whole tour took us around 2 hours. Also, there is a wild option of 2 km of zip lining for those who are looking for more adventure.

Gondola ride, Way To The Top.

There are 2 gondola rides depending on which mountain you want to go to. Blackcomb gondola goes to Blackcomb mountain which is 2284 meters high. Whistler village gondola goes to Whistler mountain which is 2182 meters high. Apart from these, there is a 3rd gondola ride, Peak to Peak gondola, which runs in between both of these mountains. Through the gondola ride, we saw exotic and breathtaking scenes of BC beauty which could not be enjoyed without it.

Hiking, The Natural Weight Loss Remedy.

The best hikes in Whistler are alpine hikes on the top of Blackcomb and Whistler mountains. These trails are also both easy and difficult and hikers can choose where to go to. We took a gondola ride Whistler mountain and further hiked from there. It is a beautiful trail called Pika’s Traverse road. On our way, we saw harmony lake which is so serene that we had to stop and just see it for a few minutes. Bungee Jumping. The Ultimate Rush.

This is something that we missed because of the shortage of tickets but we promised ourselves to do it next time we visit Whistler. The jump is 160ft. down over the Cheakamus River. I can only imagine the heart-pounding experience one has while going all the way down. The tickets cost around $123 and spectators are welcome to click any pictures and make their mind in the meanwhile.

Whistler has 5 lakes called Alpha Lake, Nita Lake, Alta Lake, Lost Lake, and Green lake. There are numerous parks too. Each lake has its own features and numerous activities like Kayaking, boating, BBQ, fishing, and swimming can be done.

Few Tips Before You Visit Whistler

  1. To save money, make advance bookings for the activities and accommodation. To save time, pre-plan the trip by visiting the official website of Whistler tourism through this link, https://www.whistler.com/discover/.
  2. I highly recommend spending at least one night in Whistler village to fully explore and enjoy all the activities.
  3. Although there are a number of restaurants with patios in Whistler, In my opinion, they are over-priced. Even when we search online, expensive restaurants pop-up, as a solution, try looking for restaurants with happy hours and the ones at the boundary of the village.
